INTRODUCING PIZZA TO THE 'NEIGHBORHOOD' - In Februrary 1974 eight million kids across the country watched Joe Sabatini make one of his pizzas on Mister Rogers' Neighborhood television show. After watching a cake decorator on an earlier show, Gino Sabatini thought that his father should make pizza for Mister Rogers.
